Colbey Joyce Men don't typically require their partners to be as financially stable as they are. I don't think that makes their partner's gold diggers. IMO, it's when a woman is attracted to a man for mostly financial reasons that the gold digger label might apply. (And, I don't think being a gold digger is even bad behavior, provided that both parties are on the same page about the nature of the relationship.) Speaking for myself, I think a good standard is earning enough to be self-sustaining, plus one's share of any childcare.
