Gretchen O'Neal I'm not defending the church's previous racial beliefs. As you may have seen elsewhere, I think the Mormon church scriptures are the writings of a con man, and the theology is 1830's science fiction. I'm simply pointing out that, at least in my experience, members of the church sincerely embraced the new doctrine.
