Schools should be funded by people who consent to pay for them, not extorted with threats of violence.  Housing shortages are caused because NIMBY's use threats of state violence to stop their neighbors from building in order to prop up their own house's value.  Authoritarian dictatorships encourage the citizenry to spy on each other and report dissidents--we shouldn't applaud the creation of such a culture.
