I'd take a look at these three. All are inexpensive, easy to repair, great parts availability, and no electronics that couldn't be replaced. 1988 Chevy S-10 4x4 - good for hauling day to day. 1995 Geo Metro (1996 was first year OBD-II was required) - great gas mileage 1987 GM CUCV M1008 4x4 -- good for towing
