Paul C. Jeffries No, no secrets. Opposite, in fact. The goal would be to make the engineering know-how as wide spread as possible. And come up with a design that is so low cost, simple, and safe that anyone could build one in a reasonably equipped machine shop. Similar to 3D printed guns are now. Yes, I expect intervention. But the idea is to make it so impractical to crack down on everyone, that regulators will be forced to make the regulations much more reasonable than the effective ban that exists now. Maybe something similar to the regulatory treatment of ultralight craft, or drones that weigh less than 55 lbs.
