David Loewinger Jews trapped in the Warsaw ghetto built bunkers and smuggled in weapons and explosives (which were, necessarily, stored near civilians).  Were they wrong to do so?  Do you think they wouldn't have used them against German civilians if they thought it would free them?  Do you think they would not have taken German hostages, if they thought it would have stopped their own slaughter?
