Carrie Radomski Men are nature's dice.  Most of the time the weirdo trait doesn't increase fitness, but sometimes it does, and women select for that trait.   Nature is also a sloppy cook;  for example, the part of the brain that controls the sex organs is right next to the part that controls the feet.  Foot fetishes are thought to be a bit of miswiring in the brain.
