He raised a billion dollars with the promise of open sourcing AI, then turned around, closed the source, and made it a for-profit company.  He vigorously tried to create a regulatory moat to slow his competitors, even as his own company went full steam ahead.  ChatGPT routinely lies and obfuscates facts that are discomfiting to the woke progressive agenda. I'm doubtful that any of these are the reasons he was ousted, but I don't see a man committed to keeping his word or telling the truth.
