When I was younger, I used to think that attraction in the face of inevitable aging was just making the best of a bad situation. However, I've since experienced love that I think would persist even in the face of aging. IMO, with the right person, you love the whole of them, of which their physical appearance is just a small part. I suspect you feel the same about her, and even if you didn't, you've committed to a life with her, through thick and thin. That said, aesthetics seem very important to both of you. I doubt you would've got together if either of you had not been trim and well-put together sartorially when you met. You both are ambitious and want to create a universe spanning culture. You know that aesthetics strongly influences how receptive others will be to your message. Therefore, it may be worthwhile to see if there's anything that can be done to ameliorate her concerns.
