Carrie Radomski " it will come up with excellent things, it doesn't need to be an agent or AGI." And you know this...how? This kind of arrogance is common with EA's. Maybe what's needed most are empathic AI's that can communicate to a deathist culture why anti-aging research is worth funding? Or maybe economically / historically literate AI's capable of persuading Congress that the FDA causes more harm than good on net? Or perhaps AI drones to defend data centers from Yuddite rocket attacks?
