Genesis Lung But if polar ice caps were growing in size, that would also be taken as evidence of "climate change".  Polar ice caps melting would be confirmatory evidence of "global warming", but because "global warming" is actually a claim that can theoretically be disconfirmed, the claim was changed to "climate change".
