Joshua Done I believe in defensive war.  But if you're going to object when Hamas kills children to advance their political goals, you also have to object when Israelis do the same. Nor do governments have the right to enslave their citizens to fight in war, or to seize their assets to fund war efforts.  Legitimate war efforts don't require coercion to enlist the aid of the citizenry. Finally, if you're going to war, you have to have achievable goals.  The US spent 8+ trillion and counting fighting wars in Iraq/Afghanistan to no discernable benefit to anyone except military contractors.  Israel's current war on Hamas seems equally pointless / counterproductive.
