It's a reference to Jim Jones. He was a socialist cult leader in the 1970's who directed his followers to drink cyanide laced Flavor Aid (a Kool-Aid knockoff). It's where the phrase "drink the Kool Aid" comes from. Swift supports Democratic causes (gun control, gay rights, etc), and has endorsed Democratic politicians.
