Manuel Fortes Yes, I'm sure labor costs in Brazil are much lower.  And they'd be lower in the US, if we didn't have insane immigration laws. But labor costs don't explain why Singapore buildings have more hanging gardens than US buildings.   Gardening services in Singapore and the US are comparable, at $50 - $75 USD/hour.
