We have limited time on earth. I'd rather spend my time with people who a) get my humor b) aren't easily offended c) assume goodwill. Someone who flounces at my dark humor fails at one or more of those criteria. If they self-select out of my friend's group, that leaves me with more time to spend with the people who are more aligned with me.
