Bruce Payne 1.  Some believe that AI development is on an exponential growth curve, and that Artificial Super Intelligences (ASI's) will destroy humanity if all AI research is not halted soon. 1.  OpenAI has recently announced that they've achieved Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) internally. 3.   Many of OpenAI's early leadership team have also recently announced that they're leaving the company. So the joke is that, like OpenAI's executives, the ASI is also announcing it is leaving OpenAI for greener pastures.
