# Douglas Mailly Obviously, not all libertarians in New Hampshire are...

*November 5, 2024 — Comment Archer T. Ships replied to Douglas Mailly's comment.*

Douglas Mailly Obviously, not all libertarians in New Hampshire are of the LPNH variety. And I have no problem with libertarians collaborating with Republicans/Democrats on areas where we overlap. I also have no problem with libertarians running as Republicans/Democrats, as long as they vote libertarian once in office. However, wer're _not_ trying to _attract_ more authoritarian Republicans to New Hampshire, are we? Trump is an authoritarian would-be dictator. We should not be _endorsing_ him. Also, many the "libertarians" who stumped for Trump often have authoritarian views of their own. I've seen several LPNH libertarians promote anti-liberty policies such as immigration suppression laws, zoning laws, tariffs, and vice laws. Jeremy Kauffman has called for summary execution of drug addicts, rounding up homeless people and dumping them in an empty field, and shooting "socialists". (Keep in mind that Kauffman also calls Chase Oliver a communist.) IMO, this kind of behavior is repulsive to most libertarians, as well as most New Hampshire citizens. It retards our efforts to attract libertarians and makes it more difficult to win office.
