Steven Postrel Agree. 1) Make it clear that you're following this strategy.  2) Make an effort to send other kinds of costly signals that tell him you're truly interested in him:  cook him dinner, invite him to walks in the park, offer to go with him to events he likes, etc.  3) Don't sleep with booty calls while making him wait.  If he finds out, he'll be infuriated.
