Reforming the NRC to allow for more nuclear power plant construction seems to have backing on both the right and left. IMO, the right move is to push for the plant approval process to move to the state level. That way, even if some states have crazy regulations (like California or New York), plant construction can proceed in other states (New Hampshire, Wyoming), etc.
