Clyde Terrell Agree, this only shows the paths of recorded storms. And the weather can still get plenty terrible even if it doesn't rise to the level of a hurricane. I also agree that seasteads should be designed for the worst storms, even if the seastead will be located somewhere relatively peaceful most of the time. Underwater earthquakes, underwater volcanoes, freak weather events _will_ happen someday.
