A fever dream movie feels like a memory of a dream. Fever dream movie visuals are typically vibrant and surreal, sharply distinct from every day life.\
\
Also, for me, being somewhat obscure is a defining characteristic of a fever dream movie.\
\
For example, all of the following movies have fever dream like visuals:\
\
\* Time Bandits\
\* Naked Lunch\
\* Dark City\
\* Jacob\'s Ladder\
\* Little Trouble In Big China\
\* Requiem for a Dream\
\* Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas\
\* Charlie and the Chocolate Factory\
\* Freaks\
\* Beetlejuice\
\* Brazil\
\
However, all of those movies are sufficiently well known that there\'s no question that they exist.\
\
Whereas a fever dream movie is sufficiently obscure that you question its existence. A fever dream move makes you ask the question:\
\
\"Was that I movie I saw? Or a dream I had?\"\
\
