Mike Kennedy That a government claims the "right" to do something, doesn't mean that it's ethical or economically sound. Government's claim the right to enslave men and force them to fight and die overseas. Does that mean it's ethical to do so? Tariffs raise the cost of food for Europeans. Higher food costs mean people eat less healthy food, and leave them with less money for other goods that impact their health. For example, housing, healthcare, A/C, newer (and safer) cars, etc. That European governments harm their citizens in this way doesn't mean the US government should do the same.
