Lincoln Cannon Why?  What harm can the Chinese Communist party cause to most Americans? Whereas the USG routinely spies on dissidents, bans travel to "nondesirables", censors stories that don't comport with USG propaganda, pressures banks to close the bank accounts of disfavored individuals/businesses, pressures social media firms to ban / censor users guilty of wrongthink,  threatens to arrest people who back the "wrong" candiate, selectively chooses the government's opposition for IRS audits.
