Or, Biden and his cronies committed a bunch of crimes (bribery, corruption, influence peddling, espionage, etc), and he didn't want them to testify against him or go to prison.  (The same way he sprung his son Hunter from prison.)  Which is what you would certainly claim if Trump did the same thing.
