Brian Trosko I see, so your argument is that the UK should have _pre-emptively_  done what the Nazis did, and cut off external trade for "national defense" items?    Thus forcing UK businesses and consumers to buy UK, thus making the UK self-sufficient and wealthier? So, no US made electronics, no US farmer's grain, no US cars?
