William Forbes Yes, I've argued with nativists frequently.  I think the harms caused by nativists (to citizen and would-be immigrant alike) are much greater than the harms caused by immigrants.  In my experience, nativists never take responsibility for the tremendous costs they impose on others, let alone offer any compensation.
