Every stance currently in the upper left could also be moved to upper right and still be accurate. To distinguish them from the libertarians, I would add these stances to the upper left quadrant: Favors generous national welfare programs (Medicare-for-all, UBI's). Favors a national regulatory system (but run more competently / efficiently). Favors schools funded and operated by the state. Favors generous state-funded humanitarian aid to the poor located overseas. What distinguishes them from the bottom left: 1. They recognize that wealth must first be produced in order to be distributed, and they understand that relatively free markets are the best way to create wealth. They understand that excessive taxation and regulation stifles wealth creation. 2. They typically aren't nationalists and view immigrants as a benefit than a threat. (Unlike the folks in the bottom left, who see immigrants as a threat to their jobs.) 3. They're less censorious. 4. They're less obsessed with racial identity, and don't see everything throught the lens of race and class.
