"You come to me on this, the day of the town council meeting and say "Don Sorens, will you give me a zoning variance?" But this I will not do.  For, you see, I'm not a mob boss.  I don't demand your friendship. I will not force you into debt to me. But some day soon, I _will_ call upon you to do a service, not for me, but for yourself: vote to strike down the zoning regulations that plague our state.
