I think having existing family in the US, winning the green card lottery, getting an H1B visa, and marrying an American (the most common legal routes into the US available to Venezuelans) is largely a matter of luck. Only a few visas (O "genius" visa, EB-5 "investor's visa", etc) are given out to people based on their merits. " Are those folks entitled to different views about the massive amounts of Venezuelan immigrants flooding other countries in waves, not just the US? " Are people entitled to hold whatever views they want? Sure. Does that mean those views are smart, benevolent, and principled? No.
