Giego Caleiro Kudos for defending Epstein. I think your arguments are largely correct. I would note that teens were once allowed much more responsibility. Prior to 1900 or so, the age of consent in most US states was 12. It's estimated that at least 250 K teens under the age of 18 served as soldiers in the Civil War. Teens were allowed to work adult jobs in factories and farms. They've been increasingly infantilized, such now that they can't legally smoke, drink, work, have sex, marry, etc until 18 in many states.
