It costs billions to bring new drugs to market largely due to FDA prohibition and fear of lawsuits. See FDA Review for more on the harm caused by the FDA: https://www.fdareview.org/issues/theory-evidence-and-examples-of-fda-harm/

1. The FDA needs to be stripped of its power to block new drugs from reaching the market. People should be free to take whatever drug they please, even if it is dangerous and risky to do so.

2. People need the right to be able to consent to risky drugs and procedures. Right now, even if patients signs a release form, the drug maker must still fear billions of losses in lawsuits if the drug proves to be harmful in some way.
