Ian Peters-Campbell Okay, but how implausible does a strategy have to be before you think it's retarded? By what plausible mechanism could we stop entry into the US of a drug that is so potent that you can carry 1000 doses in half a gram? The government can't even keep drugs out of prisons, even though they have everyone there under 24 hour lockdown. (This is accepting as given, of course, that it's desirable for the government to try to dictate opiate use.)
