Being a libertarian is not a binary trait, but a spectrum trait. You can be more or less libertarian. You can advocate for some libertarian policies, but not others. And just as there are big differences between the Abundance Democrats and the tankies within the Democratic party, so too are there big differences between cosmopolitan libertarians (Reason / Cato) and Hoppeans / conservatarians / paleolibertarians. Lot's of overlap, but also large areas of strong disagreement.
