Yehoshua Jason Bedrick I agree that Hamas leadership are also terrible, and deserve much of the blame for the conflict. But I make a distinction between a people and their government.  People are often born under governments that they didn't choose, and over whom they have little power.  German Jews didn't "choose" the Reich to rule over them, after all. Moreover, children are not fully developed, and are not fully responsible for their actions yet.  And they have no political power in any case.  So whatever evils are committed by their parents, they are not responsible, and should not be made to suffer, if it can be helped.
