Charles Peralo > I’m the immigrant hugging drug legalizing guy who wants Snowden pardoned. Me too! I believe Jason Sorens -- the founder of the Free State Project -- also falls into that category, as does the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance. The NHLA rates bills according to whether they are pro-liberty or anti-liberty, and publishes them in a newsletter called the Gold Standard. You can see the latest ratings here: https://www.nhliberty.org/category/gold-standard/ The NHLA then grades New Hampshire state congressfolk based on their votes on the bills. Vote for pro-liberty bills and against anti-liberty bills and your NHLA grade goes up. Vote in the opposite direction, and your grade goes down. As of the latest rating, 81 members of the House (out of 400) have NHLA grades of A- or better: https://www.nhliberty.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Liberty-Rating-2025.pdf The pro-liberty faction controls the Republican party, which in turn controls the House (and, increasingly, the Senate). They've been able to pass a number of pro-liberty bills: https://libertywin.org/index.php/Liberty_Wins_in_New_Hampshire New Hampshire governance isn't perfect by any means. There's currently a big fight between the YIMBY's (who want to lift zoning regulations statewide) and the NIMBY's (who want city governments to continue to be able to stifle new housing). But NH is the only state where libertarians are consistently elected to office, and expand the scope of liberty over time.
