Sean Cusack I think most people on both the left and the right think it was wrong for Charlie Kirk to be assassinated. And I agree that Kirk pushed for many pernicious policies. I also agree that Trump jumped the gun on assigning blame. And I agree that Trump and many other conservatives also foment hatred, and are already trying to impose authoritarian measures using Kirk's murder as an excuse. However, I also note that you don't appear to assign any blame to leftists for political violence in the US. I don't see you objecting to the many leftists who _are_ cheering Kirk's death. Or the many who valorize Luigi Mangione or who cheered when attempts were made on Trump's life. You also don't seem to care that many on the left _also_ jumped the gun, and tried to claim that the assassin was a right wing groyper. > other than better gun control laws...the very thing Charlie argued against...could have really helped this. It's funny how you complain that the right will go after our freedoms and rights, immediately after you propose that the government strip civilians of the right to self defense. Maybe take the beam out of your own eye before complaining about the beams in others eyes?
