Elise Hecht I don't have much confidence in the legal system, and certainly not the ethics of Trump,  but I don't think law enforcement would try to falsify easily disproven chat logs in a case as prominent as this one. I think corruption tends to take the form of suppressing exculpatory information or pressuring suspects to give false confessions.  But we'll see.
