My FB friends include executives of billion dollar companies, Nobel Prize winners, and other influential people. Writing congress or marching may do some good, sometimes. But at least in recent times, the marches have led to huge amounts of damage. All freedoms have trade offs, and I think its important for civilians to retain the ability to defend themselves from tyrannical government. If Republicans are Nazis (as many on the left accuse them of being), then the US government is currently under the control of Nazis. And you want everyone else to be disarmed?
