Many "libertarians" are actually social conservatives who have been trying to co-opt the word libertarian to mean support for decidedly non-libertarian ideas such as racial apartheid, tariffs, immigration suppression, zoning,  censorship, deportation of socialists, murder of socialists, homophobia, etc.
