Lance Harting > Your plan punishes him for following the rules. Some slaves were able to legally buy their freedom.  Does that mean that they were harmed by the slaves who escaped illegaly? IMO, your friend is being harmed by the immigration suppression laws that prevent him from living and working where he pleases, not the immigrants who don't obey the law.
