Erick Malmstrom A Pomeranian weights 3-7 lbs. Let's assume the average Pom weights 5 lbs. The dressed weight (weight of meat) of wild game (deer) is about 1/3rd the live weight. If we assume a similar percentage dressed weight, a Pom contains 1/3*5 lbs = 1.65 lbs of meat. There are about 550 calories/lb in deer meat. So, if Pom meat is similar in composition to deer meat, a Pomeranian contains roughly 900 calories of meat (1.65 * 550).
