A fully AI-generated Japanese cat "short drama" -- two cats and their human, captioned in Japanese with English subtitles -- that went viral when it was reposted and then quote-tweeted by Tim Blais (@MasterTimBlais) with "ok japan is serving me weapons grade ai content holy shit."
Source: https://x.com/MasterTimBlais/status/2109074632280354857
The clip carries the @junjun_ranran watermark: ジュンジュンとランラン ("Junjun and Ranran") is an account that began posting AI short dramas featuring the cats Junjun and Ranran and their human, Rin, first on TikTok and Instagram and then on X with English subtitles. A Community Note on the repost credits @junjun_ranran as the creator and notes that the work is widely re-uploaded -- the maker's own comment flags the volume of reposts. It is a strong current example of single-creator generative video: AI-rendered animals and scenes with an animated, commercial-ad-like presentation, riding subtitles and social virality to millions of views (the repost drew ~3.6M views and Blais's quote ~1.5M).

The Asamkirche in Munich -- a discreet street facade hiding one of Europe's most extravagant Baroque interiors, dubbed a "black diamond" inside.
Source: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1637610344477569
The Asamkirche (St. Johann Nepomuk) in Munich: a Baroque church built 1733-1746 by the Asam brothers, sculptor Egid Quirin Asam and painter Cosmas Damian Asam, as their private church and a showcase for their own talents. From the outside it nearly disappears into an ordinary street; step inside and the compact space erupts into gold, sculpture, painting, and theatrical light and shadow, with a ceiling painted so the room reads far larger than it is. The interior is read as an allegory of the soul's journey from suffering to redemption. The clip is a Facebook reel, mirrored to Odysee (the card link); the original Facebook reel is listed as the source.

Pinwheel Timber Planners walks through the material choices on a porch addition built to high-performance standards rather than North American default practice. 5/8 in plywood goes on the inside of the 2x6 walls instead of OSB sheathing outside (less off-gassing, and the taped seams become the vapour control layer); 60 mm wood fibreboard sits outside the studs to break thermal bridging while remaining vapour-open, with a thinner board under the floor deck; dense-packed recycled-newspaper cellulose fills walls, roof and floor and buffers indoor humidity. Finishes are cold-burnt-and-linseed-oiled pine reclaimed from window pallets, Finex fibre-cement board rated for ground contact, wood tilt-and-turn windows with aluminium cladding, and natural linoleum flooring. The payoff claim: this room has been the most comfortable in the house for three-plus years.

Six ways to rebuild broken plastic parts -- an internal frame bent from heated copper wire, baking soda and instant adhesive as a hard filler, torched metal mesh embedded across a gap, S-shaped plastic-welding staples, shop-made staples from copper tube and a lighter, and a wire spiral that restores stripped screw threads.
Source: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/78CAxIoxFtg
Quickdvice runs through six field-tested plastic repair techniques in about three minutes. The first builds a missing corner by bending a heated copper wire into the shape and filling around it with baking soda plus instant adhesive, which cures into an extremely hard composite. The strongest method trims the break clean, fills it with melted donor plastic, then seats red-hot metal mesh across the opening so it fuses into one solid structure -- after which the part can be re-drilled and may end up stronger than the original. For automotive bumpers and mounting tabs, a quick welding gun melts S-shaped staples into the plastic, adding what amounts to internal rebar; the same staples join a shaped donor tab back onto a broken part, and a second pass of melted plastic reinforces the seam. If you don't own the welding tool, the video shows how to improvise one from copper tubing on a lighter, forming staples around nails set in a board. The last trick fixes a stripped threaded hole by wrapping thin metal wire into a spiral, heating it into the softened plastic, and cooling it to leave a fresh, stronger metal thread. Useful for salvaging plastic housings, trim, and mounting tabs instead of replacing the whole assembly.
