Seasteads need compact, reliable, round-the-clock power and water with minimal emissions and logistics burden.
I’ve compiled a list of modern tranportable small modular reactors (TSMR’s) that are well suited to meet this need. In order to make it onto this list, they must meet most of the following criteria:
Transportable via shipping container and/or barge.
Can be sited in a wide variety of locations.
Can be built in a factory.
Can be constructed quickly at relatively low cost.
Need not be refueled for long periods of time (anywhere from 5 - 20 years.
Transportable Small Nuclear Reactors
Small Nuclear Reactors that are 1. Transportable via shipping container and/or barge. 2. Can be sited in a wide variety of locations. 3. Can be built in a factory. 4. Can be constructed quickly at relatively low cost.
