Goodbye Mommy: The Case For Seceding From The Psychopaths

Women have donated almost $1 million to the parents of Lindsay Clancy, the woman who strangled her three kids with fitness bands.

She claims she killed them because she suffered from severe post-partum depression.

The outpouring of financial support for her is flabbergasting to me.

This seems like a clear instance of the double standards that many women apply to themselves.

I’m sure many of the men who murder their kids were depressed and mentally ill as well.

Yet if Clancy’s husband had committed the murders, would he be able to raise $1 million for his defense?

Of course not.

Donating to such a campaign would be considered monstrous.

And GoFundMe routinely bans fundraisers for those accused of heinous acts.

The male version of this campaign wouldn’t be allowed to exist at all, at least on GoFundMe.

Presumably, these women also vote and serve on juries.

I don’t think depriving women of the right to vote more broadly is the answer.

But I also don’t want these women to have influence over how I’m governed either.

This is an instance of a broader problem: most of the population is unprincipled, ignorant, and irrational. And many of us hold fundamentally incompatible value systems.

IMO, we need more and smaller polities, with freedom of movement between them.

That way, the donors to the Clancy GoFundMe can live in their own communities. And the people who find them repulsive can live in others.

Otherwise, we’ll be in a constant struggle for power over each other.
