I just discovered The Politician, and am enjoying it a great deal. Here's my review:
The Politician is a comedy starring Ben Platt as Payton Hobart, a pathologically ambitious high school student who will stop at nothing to realize his political dreams.
The cast is uniformly superb, with delightful supporting performances from Gwyneth Paltrow (as Payton's mother) and Jessica Lange (as his running mate's mother).
Showrunners Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan advance the plot at a rapid clip, and the dialogue is whip smart. I laughed out loud several times during the first episode. Highly recommended!
