Christopher Sutton I don't think that AI's are at the point where they could pass for human in all domains. But I don't think that point is far off. AI development is in a feedback loop which will accelerate the rate of improvements. I don't think instilling "drives" or "emotions" (or sufficient facsimile's thereof) are that far off. I also don't think that AI's will be hostile to us, in general. I think they will mostly be indifferent to positive to us. (The same way that we are to most animals.)
