Izdaari Eristikon Milton Friedman was a great advocate for liberty, on the whole. But that doesn't mean that everything he advocated was pro-liberty. He helped develop the concept of pay-as-you-go income tax withholding, where employers deduct taxes directly from workers’ paychecks before they receive their wages.
