The Asamkirche (St. Johann Nepomuk) in Munich: a Baroque church built 1733-1746 by the Asam brothers, sculptor Egid Quirin Asam and painter Cosmas Damian Asam, as their private church and a showcase for their own talents. From the outside it nearly disappears into an ordinary street; step inside and the compact space erupts into gold, sculpture, painting, and theatrical light and shadow, with a ceiling painted so the room reads far larger than it is. The interior is read as an allegory of the soul's journey from suffering to redemption. The clip is a Facebook reel, mirrored to Odysee (the card link); the original Facebook reel is listed as the source.
Artist Stephen J. Shanabrook -- who assisted his coroner father and later worked in a chocolate factory -- casts real fatal wounds and diseased organs into bonbons and larger chocolate sculptures. The impressions were collected at morgues in Russia and America; the project, begun in 1995, is conceptual art about the body as a found object, and the candies are not for sale or consumption.
Kelly Boesch's AI music video "A Very Unusual Town": Midjourney stills animated with Hailuo AI, music via Suno -- a dreamlike one-person AI production pipeline.
A fantastical, fairytale-like AI-generated town populated by whimsical buildings and uncanny inhabitants, set to an original song. The imagery was created in Midjourney and animated with Hailuo AI (MiniMax), while the music was produced with Suno. The creator notes the clips came together unusually well with the music, giving the finished 4K piece a cohesive, dreamlike, surreal quality -- a strong example of a single-creator AI video pipeline (image gen + animation + music) producing a polished end-to-end work.

Ney scored every US president since Eisenhower on a UN-based 100-point corruption scale. Trump II lands at 91, tied with Suharto and Mobutu -- above Marcos and Abacha. Nixon is the only other president above 25.
Using the UN definition of corruption, Jeremy Ney built a 100-point
corruption scale. He then scored every US president since Eisenhower, and
several notoriously corrupt international leaders, such as Marcos, Suharto,
Mobutu and Abacha. Except for Nixon (score: 41) and Trump (score: 91), no
other president scored above 25. Trump II at 91, tied with Suharto and
Mobutu, above Marcos and Abacha. Note, the scale only counts personal graft.
The largest extraction in modern states is legal: central banking, regulatory
capture, war spending, licensing. None of it appears on a looting scale, and
such legal plunder dwarfs personal graft.

A stainless steel litter box is worth the investment due to its odor-resistant, stain-proof, and easy-to-clean surface. The two-pan system separates liquid and solid waste: urine drains through slots into a bottom pan of pine pellets that turn to dust, while solid waste stays on top for easy scooping. Using pine pellets instead of traditional clumping litter eliminates artificial fragrances in favor of a clean, natural scent. After initially hesitating at the price, the reviewer now owns two and considers them worth every penny for both cat and owner.

Six ways to rebuild broken plastic parts -- an internal frame bent from heated copper wire, baking soda and instant adhesive as a hard filler, torched metal mesh embedded across a gap, S-shaped plastic-welding staples, shop-made staples from copper tube and a lighter, and a wire spiral that restores stripped screw threads.

The design-and-construction half of a two-part build. A smokeless-powder, cartridgeless (caseless ammunition) .22 caliber repeating pistol built on principles from the 18th- and 19th-century gunsmiths Michele Lorenzoni and Bartholomaus Girandoni: pour in #4 buckshot and powder and it fires 18 rounds without reloading. A cutaway of the computer model shows the foregrip tubes that hold the powder and the balls, the shuttle that loads a ball and drops powder into the firing chamber behind it, and the grip's power supply -- a CFL inverter feeding capacitors that apply about 600 volts, with the trigger releasing a 10,000-volt pulse across the igniter gap to light the charge. The parts are then laid out and assembled: a 316 stainless barrel, a four-piece 7075 aluminum receiver and shuttle, a barrel shroud that also shields the shooter from the gas-stripper ports, and a red/green dot sight on a penny rail. Built for plinking cans and indoor shooting.

DIY airboat built from hardware cloth, fiberglass, and a hand-carved wooden propeller -- a masterclass in turning cheap materials into a working watercraft through patience and craftsmanship.
A builder starts with chicken wire and transforms it into a custom airboat by shaping a fibreglass hull over a handmade mould, reinforcing it with ribs, a transom, and an engine mount. Rather than buying components, he hand-carves a wooden propeller from a solid hardwood block and assembles a belt drive, rudders, steering linkage, and twist throttle. The finished boat demonstrates how patience and craftsmanship can turn cheap, basic materials into a fully functional watercraft.

Free plans available from the creator's site. A clever follow-up to the original front-facing bin rack that solves the garage-space problem.
